• Eric Altamirano with a tribute to recently-retired San Beda Red Cubs coach Ato Badolato, who finished his stellar coaching career with 16 NCAA juniors titles in the last 25 years. There’s a nice little roll call of prominent Red Cubs who played for Badolato, from Benjie Paras to Nico Salva. Notable exclusion, though, is current Barako Bull rookie Ogie Menor, who led San Beda to the 2004 juniors crown and three straight seniors championships from 2006 to 2008.

• Off the Bench with a nice, quick round-up of all your favorite leagues. He calls Ryan Arana a better player than Sol Mercado, thinks Rudy Lingganay will be a PBA player and declares the PBL dead.

• Where are unsigned PBA draftees Edwin Asoro, PJ Walsham and JR Sena and why aren’t they on the Patriots yet? Or at least imports for some of the crappy ABL teams. Hey, Toto Bandaying made it to the Thailand Tigers.
