- The 1989 Grand Slam San Miguel Beermen team threw a dinner for teammate Ato Agustin. Samboy Lim, Hector Calma, Franz Pumaren, Alvin Teng, Tonichi Yturri, Elmer Reyes, Bobby Jose and Paul Alvarez (not part of the '89 team) all made appearances. (via Bleachers Brew)
- Is there any player that helps his team without scoring the ball as much as Joseph Yeo? Kelly Williams had a spectacular 27 points, 14 rebounds and 7 assists and Ryan Reyes added 17 points and 8 assists as the Sta Lucia Realtors picked up a surprising blowout win over Ginebra last night. Yeo had a quiet scoring night (8 points on 2 of 8 shooting) but contributed 8 rebounds and 6 assists in only 29 minutes. 'The Ninja' is putting together a nice campaign, averaging 10.9 points, 4.3 rebounds and 5.4 assists this conference.
- Burger King's Mark Yee did a Don Dulay last night as the Whoppers beat the Coke Tigers by 9. Yee waxed hot in the 4th quarter and made 4 out of 4 shots, 3 of them triples, and 6 out of 6 free throws for 17 points. He finished with 19 for the game.
- From Off the Bench: "Who else thinks that John Wilson and Jimbo Aquino are better than Eric Salamat, Ryan Buenafe and Chris Tiu but will be drafted lower than their UAAP counterparts just because they play in the NCAA?"
