• A couple of the smaller college leagues like the NCRAA and the UCLAA are only just beginning their seasons. Wonder how these guys will eventually factor into the PCCL when they start their seasons so late.

• Mico Halili on his FHM blog: "How do you stop a team whose 3 top scoring players are also its top 3 defensive stoppers?" The San Miguel Beermen got a combined 71 points from Arwind Santos, Dondon Hontiveros and Denok Miranda in a win over Barako Bull days ago.

• The Nokia Pilipinas U-16 squad is in for a tough battle after it was rumored that China brought their U-19 squad instead. FIBA relies on passport verification to determine the ages of the participants; not really the strictest of procedures.
